This Master 2 thesis is the culmination of research carried out as part of the Industrial Design and Innovative Objects Master's programme at ESDAC Aix-en-Provence.

I'm showing that technological development has made life easier for people and changed the way they live.

From prehistoric man as a stonecutter to the industrial age and today's era of new technologies, societies have undergone major upheavals.

Today, we are becoming aware that our production and consumption patterns are damaging our planet. Coupled with this, a nanoscopic organism (Coronavirus) is showing us that our entire economic system is fallible.

‍

As I prepare to enter the world of work, I'm wondering about the future of my profession. I'm questioning myself as a responsible human being who uses screens and yet advocates respect for our natural environment. I'm wondering about the nature of the tools I use and the objects I design.
