Owens-Illinois (O-I) is the world's leading manufacturer of glass packaging. Around one in two bottles worldwide is made by O-I.

Having the opportunity to go 'behind the scenes' of glass production was a real source of inspiration.

Brief :

Each project launch began by gathering and consolidating useful information from the customer.

Then the design office, of which I was a member, would create renderings and 3D animation,

the aim being to give the customer a better idea of what the bottle would look like and to visualise it digitally before going into production.

Issues :

How can you produce and present 3D imagery as close to reality as possible ?

Objectives :

• Improve and develop new design and presentation methods and tools.

• Learn the technical characteristics of a glass bottle.

• Learning and sharing new knowledge and methods with my colleagues.
